The extended range diver course is designed to promote more efficient and safe deep diving techniques and to encourage a responsible and flexible approach to extended range diving. Students will be taught how to identify areas of potential problems and how best to manage and deal with them. During the course the students will also be introduced to PC decompression software used for dive planning and accelerated decompression. During the practical sessions of the course the students will dive with 2 side tanks and will be introduced to new skills such as visualization techniques, lazy shots and decompression trapeze.

Day 1 – Theory and dive 1
- An introduction to extended range diving
- Personal preparation for extended range diving
- Decompression Diving
- Decompression Planning
- Personal equipment
- Personal equipment preparation
- Dive 1 – no compulsory deco
Day 2 – Theory and dive 2
- Group equipment
- Extended range dive planning
- Practical dive planning
- Dive 2 – no compulsory deco
Day 3 – Dive 3
- Dive 3 – This will be a deco dive to a depth between 40 and 45 meters depending on the students skill and confidence, this is up to the instructor to determine
Day 4 – Dive 4
- Dive 4 – This will be a deco dive to a depth between 45 and 50 meters depending on the students skill and confidence, this is up to the instructor to determine
So if you are just wanting to learn more about diving and increase your depth capabilities without having to get involved with all the extra gear involved with tech diving then the recreational advanced nitrox course is the one for you.
If you are wanting to push your limits and get involved with deep tech diving then the tech advanced nitrox course and ERD courses are for you, done as a combined course you will receive maximum in water time with your instructor on twins and double sides, allowing you to perfect your diving skills under the close supervision of your instructor and helping to build your confidence over the duration of the course.
